My approach is based on over 20 years of experience working with all kinds of individual and couple issues.
I have two Master's degrees and a Ph.D., from Harvard University and the University of Massachusetts. My training has been extensive, allowing me to customize what will work best for you, drawing from years of experience blending Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Gottman Relational Therapy and Internal Family Systems Therapy. I am also a fully trained Hatha Yoga teacher and whole-heartedly believe that feeling whole and healthy means taking care of mind, body and our own sense of what spirit means to each of us. I believe it all starts with awareness, knowledge and understanding and then the support to make it all come together so we can expand our sense of what's really possible for us.
I'm passionate about creating a space in which you feel safe and supported on your path to work through the issues that are getting in your way.
When you increase your self-awareness and know your triggers, you can quickly move out of a negative state before you spiral into anxiety, depression, overwhelm and that sense of being stuck. My goals is to help you remove the obstacles that keep you from living your best life by learning to manage difficult emotions, reducing conflict in your relationships and helping you energize and clarify how you can move toward personal goals.
I have considerable skill and expertise in helping you learn to:
shift out of previous self-sabotaging habits easily when feeling overwhelmed
consistently experience a high level of self-awareness and clarity about your goals
feel naturally drawn to healthy and nourishing relationships
feel a high level of self-esteem
ground yourself quickly when you get into a "funk" or feel anxious
enjoy more intimacy and connection with your partner
